Several members of our congregation work or study at the University of Essex. Others are involved in various voluntary activities on the campus or study at other local colleges. We are always very glad to welcome those (whether from the U.K. or overseas) who have come to study in Colchester. You can be sure that, at this church, you will meet people who understand what it is like to be a student and the pressures, challenges and opportunities that await you in your academic career.

I've been at Greenstead church for almost 4 years and the welcome I received was great and encouraging. People were friendly and were genuinely interested in me. I was invited to lunch often and felt part of the church family and soon became a member of the church.
One of the main things I've gained from the church is the undiluted word of God being preached Sunday after Sunday. It was preached in such a way that it could be applied to my daily life. Also, the church provides the opportunity to serve. I've gained a lot from fellowshipping at Greenstead Evangelical Free Church and it's an amazing family to be part of.
